Flood recovery

We moved to West End to be part of the action. But we weren’t thinking we would be a part of flood action. Like many other people in Brissy today, we are feeling shocked but lucky. Our little vibrant suburb has been swamped but, personally, we have avoided most of the damage with only water in our apartment basement and the power cut off. We are so ‘Appy.

I have spent the morning sourcing all the available government help for our affected clients. There is help available for both individuals and businesses. The links are listed below. Please reach out if there is anything we can do to help you during these difficult times.

Businesses

QRIDA – up to $250,000 Disaster Assistance Loan (but you have to pay it back – interest only for 2 years). Note, this currently doesn’t include Feb22 flood but it will soon I am sure.

QRIDA – up to $25,000 Special Disaster Assistance Recovery Grant – starts with $5k then could receive the extra $20k if needed. Doesn’t include Feb22 yet but it will soon I am sure.
